Author Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Citation style: Oxford Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities [OSCOLA]
  • Word limits: Research Articles: 8,000–12,000 words, excluding footnotes, abstract, and bibliography (where applicable); Case Notes and Case Comments: 2,500–5,000 words; Commentaries: 3,000–5,000 words; Book Reviews: 1,500–2,500 words.
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx); font [e.g. Times New Roman, 12pt, 1.5 line spacing].
  • Submission format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format. The manuscript should include the author's name, with a footnote providing the author's academic qualifications, institutional affiliation, and relevant professional details. Where applicable, authors may also include acknowledgements in the same footnote, including recognition of research assistance, editorial support, funding sources, or other contributions.

For the purposes of double-blind peer review, the Editorial Office will remove author-identifying information before the manuscript is sent to reviewers.

  • Abstract of [e.g. 150–250 words] and 5–7
  • Language: submissions must be in English (or specify other accepted languages).
  • Ethical statements: authors must declare any conflicts of interest and confirm compliance with research ethics where applicable.
  • Peer review model: [double-blind] review is used for all research articles.
  • Plagiarism policy: manuscripts are screened for originality; a similarity threshold of [e.g. 20%] applies.

GENERAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Authors are required to confirm the following before submitting:

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
  3. Where available, URLs/DOIs for references have been provided.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines (citation style, spacing, margins).
  5. An abstract and keywords have been included.
  6. Any conflicts of interest and funding sources have been disclosed.
